Volkswagen Scirocco R running with natural gas in the 24h race

Natural gas is the cleanest-burning fossil fuel and that’s why more and more car manufacturers offer models which run on natural gas. The Volkswagen Scirocco R is one of these cars and it’s competing in the 24h race at Nurburgring. Kris Nissen explains it all (text in german).

Honda Civic GX Natural Gas Vehicle

Micah Muzio from Kelley Blue Book spent a week in a 2008 Honda Civic GX, the only natural gas vehicle (NGV) available to consumers in the US in 2008. In contrast to some European countries where you will find Autogas stations in many places, CNG stations are something of a rarity in the US.

Ford Fusion Hybrid and a natural gas-powered Toyota Camry

AutoWeek news break from November 2008 about the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and a natural gas-powered Toyota Camry. The Fusion Hybrid is more powerful, has lighter batteries and regenerative breaking. Toyota was showing the Camry Hybrid concept car that runs on compressed natural gas at the LA Auto Show.

BMW 528i (E39) with LPG

This BMW 528i (E39) was modified to fuel natural gas (LBG) with a second tank which, due to their particular shape, is easily placed inside the spare wheel compartment. The price for the LPG modification was 2.700 Euro or about $3,680 (Audio in German).
