The Tesla Roadster is an all-electric super sports car produced by Tesla Motors. The energy for the electric motor comes from a battery pack that contains more than 6,800 lithium ion cells. The long-range electric car can travel 244 miles (393 km) on a single charge and it can accelerate from 0–60 mph (0–97 km/h) in 3.9 seconds.
